Schools cannot keep up with the pace of immigration - Bishkek needs 50 more educational institutions In a meeting between Sedir Jafarov and the residents of the Alamodon district, the head of the Ministry of Education, Kandirbaeva, said that in Bishkek, Osh and Manas, 40 schools operate in three shifts. The president asked whether 20 schools under construction in Bishkek would help solve the problem. According to Construction Minister Orontiev, 15 of them have already been completed. However, the Minister of Education and the Mayor of Bishkek stated that the rate of construction of schools does not keep up with the increase in the number of students due to internal migration and the return of Kyrgyz from abroad. "We need about 50 more schools. For example, in the Ak-Ordo residential area, we built a school with 750 seats, which can accommodate up to a thousand students. However, 4,500 children came to this school," Kandirbaiva said. According to Mayor Dzhonushlev, only 12,500 additional children from the regions and abroad arrived in Bishkek this year.
