The Sami special economic zone will be created in the Abyei region, the government reported, factories and other industrial plants will be established in the Janasmei region on an area of 600 dunams, which will produce products, including for export. The volume of investments will amount to 1.4 trillion tenge (3.1 billion dollars). SEZ is a special economic zone with a special legal regime, where businesses are given tax benefits.
