QazaqGaz plans to build a small-scale LNG plant in Rodney with a capacity of 50 thousand tons per year. The chairman of the board of directors of the national company, Alibek Zhamav, reported to Kassim-Jomart Tokayev about plans for the implementation of the project during the meeting. The project is designed to develop liquid natural gas production and expand the possibilities of using gas engine fuel. The construction of a gas processing plant in the Kashgan field with a capacity of one billion square meters of gas per year continues, the operation is planned for the third quarter of 2027. EPC contractors have been identified for the construction project of the Kashgan gas processing plant with a capacity of 2.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year and the Karachagnak gas processing plant with a capacity of 5 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
