Britain is considering speeding up the construction of new warships amid concerns about the state of its existing fleet, The Times writes. According to the publication, Babcock may increase the number of workers at the shipyard in Scotland or switch production to a two-shift mode in order to quickly build five Type 31 frigates. This will require additional funding. According to one of the newspaper's sources, the first ship may be ready as early as 2028.
