The representative of Uzbekistan will become the new General Secretary of UTG. The position will be filled by the former deputy foreign minister of Uzbekistan Mirkhid Azimov. He will replace in this position the diplomat from Kyrgyzstan Kubanychbek Omuraliev, who headed the organization for the past four years. In 2027, the next OTG summit will be held in Uzbekistan.
