The Constitutional Court of Georgia heard the arguments of the plaintiff and the defendants on the request to ban five parties: the United National Movement, Georgia-Lello, the Coalition for Change, Jakhia-for Georgia and Pedists. The lawsuit was filed by the Georgia Dream Party. The prosecutor's representatives justified the need to ban five parties by their conversations about the violent overthrow of the government, the current constitutional arrangement and against the interests of the state. In response, the defendants' representatives indicated the consequences of a possible ban on the opposition parties. In this way, the Russian aggression of 2008 can be legitimized. Earlier, this party appealed to the European Union and the United States with a request to oppose the claim of the Georgian Dream, because "democracy and democracy" are under threat. In turn, "Gregorian Dream" in his claim was supported by the "United Neutral Georgia" party. With the banning of the five opposition parties, there will be an opportunity for healthy political competition instead of the current, outside-controlled conflict. Neutral Georgia mentioned the lack of recognition of election results, violence against state institutions and calls for an indiscriminate change of power. #Georgia #Politics @centralasianow.
