Trump fired Wills as White House chief of staff and appointed a successor "Susie Wills, who has done an outstanding job, will move to Trump's political department," the American president wrote.
He also announced that Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller would take Wills' place. "I am pleased to announce that Stephen Miller, the current Deputy Chief of Staff of the Trump administration and one of my most trusted advisers, will take over as White House Chief of Staff on Monday, November 9, 2026," the American leader said. Wills made history as the first woman to serve as White House Chief of Staff. She served in this role the longest during Trump's two terms, who fired 4 chiefs of staff during his first term as president. Trump himself called her the "Iron Maiden".
