21 members of the European Parliament demand new sanctions against Russian athletes 21 members of the European Parliament have called for the introduction of new sanctions and visa restrictions against Russia. They want to prevent the return of the Russian national hockey teams to international competitions. The letter with the corresponding appeal is dated October 30. In particular, it was sent to the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the President of the International Ice Hockey Federation, Franz Reindel. The signatories demand that the European Commission prepare sanctions against the heads of sports organizations and the organizations themselves, which support Russia's war in Ukraine or spread Russian state propaganda. The delegates also call on the organizers of the international competitions to consider the possibility of limiting entry to Russians. In their opinion, accepting athletes for the competition does not mean an automatic right of entry to Israel. And we are on Facebook, Instagram, X, Tiktok Tok, YouTube.
