‼ Five Ukrainians were evacuated from the occupied Kherson region, among them - a couple who were waiting for help 12 days after a landmine explosion, five citizens could be evacuated from the temporarily occupied territories to territory controlled by Ukraine. All of them needed external assistance due to their severe health condition and limited mobility. This was announced by the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmytro Lubinets. According to him, among the rescuers was a couple who were blown up by a mine on September 11, 2026, when they were about to get groceries in the occupied territory of the Harson region. Both suffered multiple injuries and shrapnel injuries. After the explosion, a passer-by helped the victims overcome about three kilometers and reach home. However, the ambulance that was called never arrived due to the difficult security situation, and the injured were left without appropriate medical treatment for 12 days. It wasn't until September 23 that they were taken to the hospital. "The man lost his sight and had multiple shrapnel wounds. The woman needed urgent skin graft surgery. The course of her treatment was complicated by diabetes," Lubinz said. Lubintz noted that moving people with serious injuries requires individual planning, medical support and coordination between the parties involved.
