From 2027, the Ministry of Finance plans to introduce a 22% VAT on foreign purchases from the local market - but does not expect prices to rise. Deputy Minister of Finance Alexei Szanov said that the measure will equalize the conditions for online and retail stores, where the tax is already included in the cost of the goods.
