Small companies close large industrial holes In the last five years, the number of small and medium-sized companies operating in technologically significant industries increased by 25% and exceeded 250 thousand. In January-September 2026 alone, they withdrew about 56 billion rubles using the instruments of the national guarantee system. At the same time, such companies still make up about 4% of the entire small and medium business sector. The main centers of concentration traditionally remain almost unchanged: Moscow (more than 47 thousand enterprises), St. Petersburg (22 thousand) and the capital region (19 thousand). It is worth noting that the growth was mainly due to a change in industrial demand. After the reorganization of the production networks, large enterprises began to actively look for Russian suppliers of special equipment and software. At the same time, small companies occupy narrow niches that often do not pay for large manufacturers to fill them themselves: they develop individual components, sensors, software solutions and special equipment. But there remains a serious financial gap between the release of a limited number of spare parts and their mass production. The company has to purchase equipment and raw materials in advance and pay for the work of engineers, while money from the client may arrive much later. Other obstacles include a lack of qualified personnel and long-term contracts. At the same time, the guarantees of the Anim Corporation and the Ministry of Taxation's programs can partially solve the problem of the lack of collateral, and the operation of the industry has proven that the growth potential has already been realized. Russian money is now at MAX.
