The register showed what the companies are really doing The first results of the OKVED reform provided a rare snapshot of the real economy. Of the 3.1 million organizations in the United States' Register of Legal Entities, Rostat reporting codes have so far been identified for 352,000. This is about 11% of the register. Moreover, these percentages are mainly represented by large businesses. Almost 28% of them, i.e. about 98 thousand companies, had a reporting code that did not match the one declared during registration. The biggest differences are in the wholesale trade (15.1% of cases). But the most telling numbers are hidden within these sectors. Rostat transferred about 24% of the companies from the declared retail business to wholesale, that is, they actually send goods in groups to legal entities. Among those who declared themselves as farmers, 47.1% turned out to be organizations that live mainly from real estate transactions. We are talking about farms and gardening partnerships, whose main income comes from renting land. Retailers, entrepreneurs and transport companies also often receive the main income from property rentals, rather than from their core businesses. And such differences have practical consequences. Injury contribution rates depend on OKVED and range from 0.2% to 8.5% of the salary fund, that is, with a salary of 100 million rubles, the difference in extreme values is 8.3 million rubles per year. For companies whose type of activity changes, both subsidies and preferential loans, the right to which is related to the industry, are in question. At the same time, fixing the situation can be relatively simple. Companies should update the application codes and, in cases where the real profile is involved, assign the lease to a separate legal entity. Russian money is now at MAX.
