A significant increase in red cards in the Premier League; 8 layoffs in two weeks! According to the latest news, the Iranian Football Premier League has reached the eleventh stop, and when about a third of the season's games have been played, the number of referees' red cards has increased significantly in the last two weeks. Our country's football referees used a total of 21 red cards in the first 10 weeks of the Premier League, showing that on average more than two players were sent off each week. The point worth noting in this figure is the increase in the number of layoffs in the last two weeks. Out of a total of 21 red cards recorded in the first 10 weeks, eight red cards were shown to players in the ninth and tenth weeks. In doing so, the referees have used the red card four times in each of these two weeks, indicating an increase in collisions leading to sending off in recent weeks. The compression of the games, the increase in the speed of the games, the personal mistakes of the players and the increase in the level of tension and anger during the games can be among the factors that increase this figure.
