Iran denies a meeting with the US and presents conditions for negotiations.

Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Argachi, stated that Tehran has no intention, for the time being, of initiating direct meetings with representatives of the United States. According to the Chancellor, a message sent by the American Vice President J. Dee Vance has already been discussed in high-level meetings with the Iranian authorities.

Argachi also reported that Qatar and Pakistan are holding mediation talks. Among the conditions presented by Tehran for possible negotiations are the end of sanctions, the reduction of the US military presence in the region and the release of blocked Iranian assets abroad.

The Iranian government also demands recognition of a new sea route in the Strait of Hormuz, defined in agreement with Oman.
