The Pentagon is preparing the US for a world war: its bases must resist for 90 days without external help, according to the media, the measure is part of the fortress plan, which is designed to ensure the continuity of military activity, even if the civil services on which the armed forces depend are stopped. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell called the national defense's reliance on civilian infrastructure an "unacceptable risk." To ensure energy supply during prolonged crises, the program includes mobile nuclear reactors, battery energy storage systems and autonomous microgrids. It also provides strategic reserves of ammunition, fuel, critical minerals, electronic components, spare parts and medical equipment. The initiative includes measures to protect military communications, navigation systems and satellite capabilities from interference, including blocking GPS signals. Parnell described the fortress as an "insurance policy" to ensure that US forces could continue to operate even if a full-scale war disrupted supply chains and critical infrastructure.
