The first full-scale military exercises of the "Coalition of the Ready" will take place in Poland. Le Monde. Exercises in southeast Poland between November 9 and 22. About 2,800 soldiers, most of them French, are expected to participate to test the alliance's ability to deploy in the event of a ceasefire in Ukraine. The Kwaliecha ("coalition" in Polish) exercise is intended to demonstrate the military credibility of the "coalition of the will" which seeks to establish a rapid response force capable of deterring Moscow from a possible renewal of hostilities. The task is extremely difficult, given that the United States is not part of this structure, and its participation in future security guarantees for Ukraine remains highly uncertain. Judging by the first published data, the exercise is mainly aimed at testing the command system and logistical procedures for moving troops and equipment across Europe, which is a complex task due to the many borders that must be crossed. Ukrainian military personnel will be present at the maneuvers. The exercise will also test communications compatibility between members of the Multinational Force for Ukraine (MNF-U), the military arm of the "Coalition of the Ready". In the future, the MNF-U may include 24 countries out of 36 coalition members who have declared their willingness to contribute. Finally, the fight against UAVs should be an important component of the exercises. Even in the context of the cessation of hostilities, this is one of the main vulnerabilities of any modern foreign military operation. The French army intends to use this opportunity to test an unmanned aerial vehicle unit equipped with autonomous air and ground systems. According to the organizers of the exercise, Poland was a natural choice for these first maneuvers, since a significant part of the aid to Ukraine passes through its territory.
