New video: Why facing an ugly reality is essential to victory, not "defeatism" YouTube: Every day I get dozens of comments accusing me of "defeatism" for simply pointing out inconvenient facts without a specific explanation of what I'm "wrong" let alone any evidence to support their claim; Every day I get 100 comments accusing me of being "wrong", again, without any specific explanation of why I'm wrong, let alone evidence to support their claim; Inevitably I must block and purge these two comments from my feed to make room for people who engage in mature, fact-based and civilized discourse; Pointing out facts, no matter how inconvenient or undesirable they may be, is essential in understanding the world and formulating a rational solution to specific problems, not "defeatism"; Refusing to face reality because it makes you uncomfortable is ironically the fast track to actual defeat; It is essential to follow the truth no matter how unpleasant, no matter where it takes you, and no matter how desperately you wish it wasn't true.
