The Ministry for Digital Development may introduce a limit on the consumption of foreign traffic. The Ministry for Digital Development is preparing the next steps as part of the upcoming reform in the communications industry. Among them is a proposal to transfer all traffic from foreign domains with technical means of dealing with threats (TSPU) and to limit its volume for Russian users. Experts point to serious technological difficulties: it is extremely difficult to separate foreign traffic from Russian traffic. Of particular concern to market participants are the risks of reducing network connectivity and deteriorating the quality of communication services.
