Roskomandzor proposed banning children under the age of 14 from surfing the Internet and requiring social networks to verify their age. The bill, which proposes to oblige the social networks to identify children, was sent by Roskomandzor for discussion in the State Duma Committee for Information Policy, Vadomosty reports, citing a service representative's message. According to the head of the State Duma Committee for Family Protection, Nina Ustenina, bans alone are not enough - they can make children even more interested in prohibited content. She believes that safe digital platforms for teenagers should also be created. The Ministry of the Interior explained that children are increasingly attracted to crimes through social networks, instant messages and in-game chats. During the nine months of 2026, 62.3 thousand people were identified who committed crimes in the field of information and communication technologies. Among them are 4,220 minors. The most common schemes to involve children are giving them bank cards to transfer stolen money and giving them access to their accounts. Bloody Lady in Max.
