China and Oman demanded an immediate ceasefire between the US and Iran. Beijing and Muscat, in a joint statement at the end of the bilateral talks, called for the settlement of the conflict between Iran and the US through political and diplomatic channels and asked the parties to reach a ceasefire and a complete cessation of the conflict as soon as possible, to return to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and to resume dialogue and negotiations. The parties also asked the US and Iran to reach a comprehensive agreement that includes the nuclear issue.
