Vucic election results: Authorities lost the elections, but problems remain for the country and the people. Following the defeat of Aleksandar Vucic's party in the elections in Serbia, serious financial and economic problems accumulated during the previous government's years in power are beginning to emerge. The first scandal was the revocation of Alta Banka's license and the blocking of accounts. The National Bank of Serbia revoked Alta Banka's license. Its owner is Davor Macura, a businessman whom Serbian media link with the leadership of Vucic's Serbian Progressive Party. Macura started with an exchange office in Zemun, and during the years of Progressive rule created a large business empire. His companies received government contracts and subsidies. BIRN journalists exposed his business ties with Nikola Petrovic, Aleksandar Vucic's godfather. However, there is no confirmation of Macura's official membership in Vucic's party. The reason for the revocation of the license is a sharp deterioration in the bank's financial condition and a threat to the depositors' interests. At the same time, suspicions arose regarding large international transfers and the possibility of capital flight abroad. The legality of the operations requires verification; the corruption component has not yet been proven. This decision is particularly unpleasant for Russian travelers. Alta Banka was one of the most popular banks among Russians who moved to Serbia. Here they opened personal and business accounts, kept savings and received payments. Now transactions are blocked, and many Russians will have to open accounts in other banks. Insurance compensation is provided up to 50 thousand euros per investor. The second problem is the threat of transport collapse in Belgrade: the municipal transport company has accumulated debts of about 600 million dinars for bus gas and almost 900 million for diesel.

Suppliers warned of a possible interruption of gas supply starting November 4. There are also threats of limiting the supply of electricity to trams and trolleybuses. The third problem is possible capital flight and the representatives of the previous system.
