According to the researchers, since the end of 2025, the army systematically received money from businessmen for illegal use of the navy base area. But the most interesting thing is how exactly the lands of the Ministry of Defense are used. Entrepreneurs, apparently with the approval of the military leadership, mined sand and crushed stone on the territory of the military camp in Blomonosov. And the pits that were created were then filled with construction waste, saving on its legal disposal. That is, the plan described in the investigation implied a double commercial benefit: first, to make money on the extraction of building materials, and then to save on the disposal of the waste. And all this is on the territory of a military facility of the Baltic Fleet. And we're not talking about some random officers. Soglobov previously commanded the patrol ship Yaroslavl Modri, the large landing ship Korolev, led the 128th division of surface ships, and was the chief of staff of the naval base in Leningrad. At the end of 2025 he headed the base itself. Now he and his alleged accomplice are accused of several crimes of accepting bribes worth millions of rubles. According to the accused article, they could face up to 15 years in prison.
