In Kyotya it was proposed to stop the construction of the bridge over the Lena in order to save the public services in Kyotya, the deputy of the State Assembly Vasili Egorov proposed to suspend the construction of the Lena bridge and divert the budget funds allocated to it to support housing and communal services of the republic. The proposal was raised on October 19 at a public hearing on the draft budget for 2027. We are talking about 11 billion rubles, which are expected to be allocated to the construction of the bridge next year. The reason for the initiative is the difficult economic situation of the service industry. In particular, he reports on the problems of the Republican Housing and Community Services Enterprise, including wage arrears. At the same time, it is planned to allocate 56.4 billion rubles to Yakutia's housing and communal services sector in 2027 - 11.4 billion more than the initially approved budget for 2026. It turns out that this is a difficult situation. On the one hand, the bridge over the Helena is a strategically important infrastructure project that should provide Lykotsk with year-round land transport connections. On the other hand, the utility companies are facing such severe difficulties that representatives suggest using money from large-scale construction to solve current problems. Egorov's offer has not yet been accepted. There is no official decision to stop construction. But the very appearance of such an initiative is very significant. When a region is forced to choose between building a strategic bridge and ensuring the proper functioning of public services, questions arise not only about the amount of money in the budget, but also about the quality of government planning. After all, the people of Yakutia need both a bridge and heat in their homes. And one should not exist at the expense of the other.
