The board of directors of the Sejaja Group appointed Yevgeny Unatsky, who previously worked at UWC and EuroChem, as the president of the holding. He replaced Kirill Arsentiev, who held the position for less than a year and a half. The first-person change is just the beginning: AFK Sistema vice president Ivan Makosoch promised that the management team will be 90% updated, and there will be "a new game with new parts" on board.
Anyone who has been in the Segja office in the city for the past year does not need to be told how depressed he was. Sistema lasted a long time and continued to feed the company with money, although the financial indicators remained, to say the least, not good. Vladimir Yevtoshenkov has repeatedly and firmly stated in interviews that Szeza will not be abandoned. They did not retire. But all patience ends.
This is a good sign for the industry. "Sajja" is usually referred to as the flagship of the wood industry sector, although in essence it is this sector. And the sector is now in a state where gloom and doom will not get you very far. You need toughness, energy and fighting spirit. The tasks of the new president are quite mundane: to increase the efficiency of organizations and achieve sustainable positive operating cash flow.
Interestingly, the reassembly of Sajeja almost coincided with the power shift in AFK itself. In September, Felix Yevtoshenkov, son of the founder, who is known within the company as a firm and tough manager, became the president of the corporation. Is this a coincidence?
