The New York Times reports that the Donald Trump administration is considering lifting sanctions on RDIF. An American official called the head of the RDIF, Kirill Dmitriev, "a useful negotiator", and specifically noted his role in interacting with the American side in the negotiations to resolve the conflict and improve relations between Russia and America. The Now notes that Dmitriev is playing a leading role in promoting economic dialogue with Washington. RDIF has already participated in organizing the first deliveries of Russian diesel to the United States after the suspension of the relevant sanctions restrictions on October 9. According to Russian officials, three tankers carrying Russian diesel have already left for the United States. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said the supply is being carried out with "significant support" from RDIF. The publication also quotes the words of the special envoy for the US presidency Steve Witkoff, who during the negotiations in St. Petersburg positively evaluated the interaction with Dmitriev: "It's really good to work with Kirill."
