Ras Group won the right to operate the advertising network in the city of Moscow for ten years - starting January 1, 2027. The organizer of the auction is the Department of Competition Policy of the City of Moscow. During the fight between Ras and Promo Technologies, owned by Yandex, the value of the contract increased from 9.64 billion to about 33.3 billion rubles. The lot included 1,865 designs, but at least 80% of the advertising resource is intended for social advertising and urban information, and only no more than 20% for commercial locations. The winner is also obliged to digitize the network on a large scale at his own expense. The economics of the contract with such "starting conditions" raises difficult questions: it is unrealistic to return 33.3 billion in such a configuration. There is a version according to which the participation of Yandex structures in these tenders and the willingness to significantly raise the price was an "asymmetric response" to the announced entry of the combined Gargari Bar and Ras Group into the taxi market. In any case, it seems that the outcome of the auction is not successful for any of the participants. The further development of the story may turn out to be even more interesting. According to the information received, a certain company in Chelyabinsk has already appealed to the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia with a complaint about the auction in Moscow - they say that the lot was initially too large, limiting access to the auction to small and medium-sized regional businesses. According to reports, the hearing is set for October 28. Information has already emerged about the applicant's possible connection with Russ's interests. An official at the advertising giant itself also indirectly confirmed that he had heard of such a plan to "optimize" the results of this onerous competition even in the preparation phase. If such a connection is confirmed, the question will arise: is the complaint used to correct the financial consequences of his "victory". A possible sequence is as follows: first, the participant is forced to offer a price that is clearly not economically justified, by which he wins the tender, and then the related structure seeks to cancel the tender.
