Salam denies that he issued an order to deport two Mossad agents.

The Communications Office of President Nawaf Salam issued the following statement: Several groups on social media are spreading completely false news, claiming that Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam gave an order to deport the two Israeli Mossad agents, in a cheap attempt to undermine the Prime Minister's reputation and mislead public opinion by inventing narratives that have nothing to do with the truth.

In fact, the security services arrested two people on suspicion of using a phone number beginning with the international code (+972). During the investigation, it became clear that they were of Palestinian nationality and lived in the city of Ramallah in the occupied Palestinian territories, which explains their use of the number bearing this symbol.

The security services conducted the necessary investigations with them under the supervision of the competent judicial system, and it was found that their entry into Lebanese territory was legal, that they had visited Lebanon several times in the past, and that they had two valid exit tickets. The Communications Bureau confirms that President Salam did not intervene in this case, either closely or remotely, and that the security services and the competent judicial system took over the case and took the necessary measures with complete independence, and without any interference from any party whatsoever.

While the Ministry of Communications condemns the publication of this fabricated news, if it indicates anything, it indicates the moral attack that is added to the political attack that drives the promoters of such lies.
