The former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Eli Parzali, confirmed in an interview on the LebanonOn platform that the bet on using the Lebanese army to resolve the weapons issue by force is a bet on "delusions that do not exist", and emphasized that the position and role of the army in the political system in Lebanon is to defend national wars and not to fight for national reconciliation.
Al-Farzali explained that the military establishment, headed by the army commander in coordination with the president of the republic, has a clear and honest position which is the inability to issue weapons except through political consent and agreement.
Farzli recalled the historical milestones of the Lebanese army since its establishment, and pointed out that the army is not a "coup army", and its experience over the decades prevents it from entering into conflicts between national elements, because that would lead to the dismantling of the military institution itself instead of protecting it.
In his comment on the decisions and political debates that brought out some forces and elements demanding that the army withdraw... Later, al-Farzali described these customs and the high ceilings as "Lebanese acrobatics", and summarized the reality of the polarization that occurs in the same way: "Every rooster crows about its droppings".
