Journalist Kamal Khalaf revealed in an interview on the LebanonOn platform that America did not reject the recent Iranian proposal, but rather confirmed that Iran and America have entered into deep negotiations dealing with the details of the Iranian initiative, known as the "Seven Days Agreement", amidst intensive Qatari mediation.
Khalaf stated that the Iranian proposal was not completely rejected as rumors suggested, but rather witnessed an exchange of messages and amendments between Washington and Tehran through Doha. The headings and in-depth details of the agreement are currently being studied.
He noted that the main problem is the timeline for implementation. Tehran demands the start of lifting the naval blockade, the release of frozen funds, and a ceasefire on all fronts as initial steps. On the other hand, the United States insists that Iran take positive steps first to prove its seriousness before US commitments are fulfilled.
He pointed out that we may witness a diplomatic breakthrough during the next week if the details of the initiative are agreed upon. He said that if negotiations collapse, Trump will launch a decisive military offensive to end the war and declare a unilateral withdrawal.
He explained: The war file with Iran has reached its conclusions. We will not continue for another few months.. Either there will be an agreement, which is possible and things are happening seriously through negotiations, or we will face a major US spectacular strike in which Trump closes the military scene.
