Walid Fayed criticizes the government's performance: "When they don't have something clear, they blame it on the weapons issue."

The former energy minister, Walid Fayed, said in an interview with Nada Andrews: "In this government, they go out and talk, and most of the time, when they don't have something clear that they are aiming at, you find them throwing it at the issue of weapons. They tell you that no one is willing to help and that we won't be able to achieve anything as long as the issue of weapons remains."

He noted: "I've heard it several times, although, for example, the minister can have a technocratic umbrella over cases where he has to clarify what the plan is and what its course is."

He emphasized: "Of course the issue of weapons and the balance of power will delay things, but I would not go out and make it number one and forget what my responsibility is."
