The ban on the return to Russians of securities frozen under EU sanctions against NSD has been lifted by the court in Luxembourg, writes Yade. The lawsuit was filed by a company whose name was not disclosed, while it appealed the decision of the Luxembourg Ministry of Finance dated September 26, 2023. The department believed that the unfreezing of assets of persons not subject to sanctions only applies to money, but not to securities, and the court did not accept such an interpretation.
