In the Vladimir region, doctors were instructed to convince pregnant women to choose a natural birth instead of a caesarean section, the media reported. The regional plan expects to reduce the share of such surgeries by 2030. Explanatory talks are also given with women from high risk groups - with uterine scars, multiple pregnancies and breech presentation. In 2024, cesarean sections will be used in at least 35.1% of births in the region.
