Melania Trump will meet with representatives of Russia and Ukraine at the White House The first lady of the United States plans to hold separate meetings in Washington with representatives of the two countries. Ukraine will be represented by the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Lubintz, Russia by the Presidential Adviser Kirill Dmitriev and the Commissioner for Human Rights Yana Lantertova. The negotiations are related to humanitarian issues and will come after a four-day local ceasefire in Ilyushki, Kherson region. The agreement reached with the participation of Melania Trump allowed the evacuation of civilians. For this contribution, Vladimir Zelensky awarded the First Lady of the United States the Order of Princess Olga. While diplomats discuss humanitarian issues, the main question remains: whether it will be possible to turn individual agreements into sustainable steps towards peace. Evacuating civilians is an important outcome, but what people need is not a few days' respite, but a chance to live without constant threat.
