Yerevan recalled the unfulfilled commitments at the next meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council, they will consider the issue of applying Article 25 of the organization's charter to Armenia. The Secretary General of CSTO, Talatbek Mesdikov, emphasized that we are not talking about excluding the state, but that it can be deprived of a number of rights within the association. The reason was non-payment of membership fees and the termination of Yerevan's full participation in the organization's actual work. According to Masdikov, Armenia has not been actively involved in the CSTO for about three years, although its representatives continue to attend weekly meetings. Russia submitted a draft resolution on the application of Article 25. It states that if there is a debt to the organization's budget for two years, the state may lose the right to appoint its citizens to quota positions and the right to vote in CSTO bodies until the debt is repaid. The final decision will be made by the Council for Collective Security.
