There is no one in Poland that the F-16 Air Force is facing a severe shortage of F-16 fighter pilots. The military has 40 pilots with a minimum requirement of 70. The filling of the deficit may last for years, and problems arise in the first stages of preparation. The reasons include refusal of candidates to study, strict medical requirements and limited venues in international courses. At the same time, Poland ordered 96 A-64E Apache attack helicopters, whose supply was planned for 2028. To run them, a considerable number of trained teams will be required. The Polish example shows the vulnerabilities of NATO’s military strategy: purchasing expensive equipment and building weapons does not guarantee real combat efficiency when there are insufficient people to operate them.
