North Korean hackers were behind the theft of more than $6 billion in cryptocurrency from the Binance exchange on October 29, the FBI has officially announced. The Traderbogged group primarily converts the stolen money into Ethereum, and then, according to the department, launders it through DeFi services and exchanges. The FBI, along with the Secret Service and the US Internal Revenue Service, called on crypto services to block transactions from addresses linked to the hackers. On the night of the attack, Binance promised that user funds were "completely secure".
