Machel-Energo was deprived of its status as a participant in the wholesale energy market.
The market board regulator took this decision on October 28 due to late payments. Machel's energy division will no longer be able to directly buy and sell electricity and capacity on the wholesale market.
The decision concerns 18 groups of delivery points, including ChMK, Ural Forge, Yakutogol and the ports of Venino and Fosite. The debt was similar to accumulation over several billing periods. This will not affect the electricity supply of organizations: they will automatically be accepted for service by other suppliers.
