🔻 Mohammad Javad Larijani, head of the Basic Knowledge Research Institute, said in a speech broadcast on Iranian television on Saturday evening that nuclear weapons can be used tactically against enemy military bases.
He said: "Nuclear weapons cannot be used against people, but they can be used tactically against the enemy's military base."
Rajani also called for an end to the situation of "no war, no peace" and the creation of what he called "total deterrence" and said that any ground attack missile or assassination of Iranian officials on the soil of the attacking country must be returned.
Explaining the strategy of "removing geographic restrictions", he said that if US bases in Germany, Albania or the UK were used against Iran, these bases would be a "legitimate target" of the Islamic Republic.
In another part of his speech, Arijani demanded that the level of uranium enrichment be raised to 80% for use in nuclear submarines and propellants and said that Iran should not bargain for enrichment. 📸 AFP via Getty Images.
