The Revolutionary Guards Navy announced that two oil tankers, one in the Strait of Hormuz and the other on its eastern border, exploded after hitting a mine and caught fire. This statement was issued after Iranian media reported that explosion-like sounds were heard in several parts of Hormuzgan province.

According to the IRGC Navy, by turning off their navigation and positioning systems, these two tankers intended to pass through routes that the Islamic Republic of Iran has declared illegal.

The Revolutionary Guards Navy warned that ships and vessels that cooperate with the US military and disobey Iran's regulations to pass through the Strait of Hormuz will face mines if they enter unauthorized areas.

The force also asked the ships not to pay attention to what it called "the fantasy of the Centcom commander".

Before this statement was issued, Sedavasima's correspondent reported that explosion-like sounds were heard in Kashem, Sirik, Jesek and Bandar Abbas.
