Thousands of people gathered to watch burning barrels being carried through the streets of a small rural town in Britain.
Residents of Ottery St Mary carried burning barrels above their heads on Thursday (November 5). A large crowd lined up on both sides of the streets to watch this ceremony.
This tradition is said to date back to the Gunpowder Plot in 1605, which was a failed attempt to blow up the British Parliament building.
The local authorities and the police asked the spectators to heed the advice of the Yemenis and to keep a Yemeni distance from the burning barrels.
