12 POW network: America prevented Netanyahu and the head of the Mossad from implementing the operation plan in Iran.
Israel's Prisoners 12 channel reported that Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, and Roman Goffman, the head of the Mossad, planned to "carry out an operation on Iranian soil" on the eve of the elections on October 27, but the US prevented the implementation of this plan.
According to this report, some of the senior officials of the security institutions of the captives were against this operation, because they feared that its implementation would lead to a widespread escalation of the conflicts and make it difficult to hold elections on time.
Channel 12 claimed that the mistake of one of the captives' security agents made America aware of this plan, and Washington acted quickly to prevent its implementation.
The network did not publish details about the nature of the operation or how it came to be known to the US, nor did it specify the sources of its report. The Israeli Prime Minister's Office rejected the report and said that Benjamin Netanyahu made it clear at the time that a ground attack was not on the agenda before the elections in Israel.
