The airline industry is facing a new potential crisis with at least 32 bomb threats affecting 12 airlines in four days.
Some of these threats appear to have been sent via phone calls and others via e-mail. Although they all turned out to be fakes, in each case they were considered so serious that the authorities had to take emergency measures.
Some of the planes had to continue flying accompanied by military fighter jets, and in others the flight crew checked the plane in the middle of the runway without causing concern among the passengers.
Also, several flights had to deviate from their original destination and land at other airports, sometimes even in other countries.
