Fawad Hussein, Iraq's foreign minister, warned against the entry of armed militant groups close to Iran into any possible military conflict between Iran and the US, saying that such action would lead Iraq into a "dark tunnel".

In an interview with the Hidkal TV channel, Mr. Hossein raised the possibility of a renewed military conflict between the US and Iran, referring to the results of the American elections and the Israeli prisoners.

He said that Iraq should have a clear policy towards regional developments and added that this country is not part of the parties involved in the war and has no desire to enter this conflict.

According to Mr. Hussein, neither the Iraqi army nor the people of this country are ready for war.

The Iraqi foreign minister also emphasized the government's plan to put all weapons in the country under government control and supervision by the end of next June.
