Ayatollah Wahid Khurasani passed away.
Media in Iran are reporting the death of Ayatollah Wahid Khorsani, one of Iran's most famous Taklid authorities, at the age of 108.
The Mehr news agency wrote that he was admitted to a hospital in Tehran on Wednesday, November 4.
The name of this Shiite imitation authority has been mentioned in recent years during important political developments.
In 1989, after the election protest of the so-called green movement, in one of his lectures on jurisprudence, he considered the confessions of prisoners and those forced to confess to be invalid.
After the killing of Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, during the attacks on the first day of the US-Israel war against Iran, which led to the succession of his son, Mujtaba Khamenei, contrary to the congratulatory message of some well-known imitation sources, at least no public announcement was made by the new leader of the Republic of Ayatollah Wahid Khorasani.
Mr Khorasani's son-in-law is Mohammad Sadaj Larijani, the former head of Iran's judiciary.
