The Revolutionary Guards announced that two oil tankers and a towing vessel caught fire in two separate incidents while crossing unauthorized roads in the Strait of Hormuz.
In message No. 21 of the Revolutionary Guards, published on Thursday, November 5, it is stated that last night a large oil tanker caught fire and was stopped by a projectile mine while trying to pass through a route south of the Strait of Hormuz, which the Revolutionary Guards called illegal.
In another incident, a supertanker caught fire while derailing in the eastern part of the Strait of Hormuz, and a tugboat that approached it to help extinguish the fire caught fire, the Revolutionary Guards said.
The Revolutionary Guards also claimed that its naval electronic warfare forces took control of two Lucas drones and landed them safely. Elsewhere in this announcement, the Revolutionary Guards accused the US of forcing US taxpayers and Washington's regional allies to pay the heavy cost of insuring damaged vessels by encouraging vessels to pass through mined lanes.
