The price of oil fell below $100 a barrel and the stock markets finished their work with the indices rising after the decisive victory of the Democrats in the US midterm elections.
Brent crude fell more than 8% on Wednesday to around $95 a barrel; The lowest level in the last two months. This drop occurred after Jeddy Vance, the vice president of the United States, announced a few hours ago that the Republicans lost the election because of the war with Iran.
Vance's words caused investors to reassess the risk of conflict in the Middle East.
The markets seem to have heeded Vance's call to "end the war", focus on the cost of living and examine US relations with the POWs, and saw the political outlook after the election as signs of a decrease in the possibility of a significant escalation of tensions with Iran.
The main indexes of the American stock market ended their work on Wednesday with an increase. The Dow Jones index jumped 3%. Esandpi 500 index is also 1. It rose 6% and the Nasdaq index, which has a high share of technology companies, closed up 1.4%.
