🔻 Democrats' response to the congressional elections: opening and relief on the way.
It was a night full of victory for the Democrats.
Wins in both houses, the House and the Senate, mean that Democrats will now control Congress for the remaining two years of Trump's presidency.
Hakim Jeffries, the current minority leader in the House of Representatives, described the victory of the Democratic Party in this house as "moments in the colors of the American flag (red, white and blue)" and said: "Why America won tonight."
Chuck Schumer, the current Senate Minority Leader, also stated that we are witnessing a "generational reshaping of the political map of the Senate."
Senate Democrats wrote in a post on the X social network that the party is "focused on the demands of the American people" in these midterm elections and is ready to fulfill its promises "with or without Trump." They added: "The opening and relief is on the way." Meanwhile, Ken Martin, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, says it's clear that American voters "trust Democrats and pro-working-class programs."
He adds: "Over the next two years, Democrats will take action in areas where Republicans have failed and work every day to reduce costs." The next step: the White House."
