Trump: We currently have no plans for a new ground attack on Iran.

US President Donald Trump said that Washington has no immediate plan for a ground attack on Iran. At the same time, he played down speculation about his government's willingness to escalate the conflict with the Islamic Republic after the midterm elections.

On Tuesday, in an interview with the "Financial Times" newspaper, Mr. Trump said that he was satisfied with the state of the confrontation with Iran; But at the same time, he showed that he was ready to continue the war if necessary.

He said in a six-minute telephone interview: "We seem to be getting everything we want."

At the same time, concerns persist about the possibility of a new ground military attack on Iran immediately after the end of the American elections, especially after Mohsen Razai, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said that Tehran is not satisfied with Washington's response to this country's plan. According to him, the telephone conversation between the foreign ministries of Egypt and Iran on Tuesday, during which Badr Abdul Ati asked Tehran to be more flexible in the negotiations, is another sign of this concern.
