🔻 The end of the voting period in some electoral districts of the eastern United States.
About an hour ago, one-by-one voting ended in certain areas of eastern America. at 19:00. ET, more polls will close in states like Florida, South Carolina, Vermont and Virginia.
Some of these contests are held in areas where the seats are almost certain; In the sense that the Democrats or Republicans are expected to win them quickly and reliably.
It may take longer to announce the results of the close contests, but we will be following them closely to assess the general election process.
Among these competitions, the following can be noted:
In Florida: the 14th and 25th congressional districts, whose boundaries were recently changed, and whose results could decide the winning party in the House of Representatives elections. In South Carolina: a tight race for the Senate seat is underway between Senator Darlene Graham and Democratic candidate Annie Andrews. That seat became vacant after the death of Lindsey Graham, the Republican senator and Darlene Graham's brother, and Republicans are trying to keep it.
