The Reuters news agency says that the dispute between the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, along with staff reductions and political pressures, have disrupted the exchange of information and intelligence assessments in the US government, as well as the exchange of information between the government and Congress.
The US National Intelligence Council is responsible for coordination between the security agencies and reports to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
According to this report, the CIA ceased to cooperate in the preparation of assessments by the US National Intelligence Council.
American officials said that none of the National Intelligence Council's assessments focused on the Iran war.
This concern about the lack of information has been raised as the Trump administration says it may decide to launch another ground attack on Iran.
